I am writing to invite you to the Save Our Service Rally in support of Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s fight for funding. The current lack of funding has forced PRT to propose service cuts and increased fares that would devastate our region. Please join us to make your voice heard and urge the PA State Legislature to sufficiently fund PRT.
When: Tuesday, April 29th at 1:30pm
Where: 955 Penn Avenue
Who: County Executive Sara Innamorato, Mayor Ed Gainey, State Representative Lindsay Powell, PRT CEO Katharine Kelleman, Pittsburghers for Public Transit, Transit for All PA, and more
Public transportation is essential to the daily lives of hundreds of thousands of residents in Allegheny County, ensuring that people can get to work, school, medical appointments, and other critical destinations. But even those of us who do not take public transit personally rely on it every single day—because our region depends on the people who do.
We hope to see you there. Please share this with your networks! Additional information can be found at: https://rideprt.org/funding-crisis
There are other opportunities to get involved:
