Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office Announces Mailing and Online Availability of 2026 Real Estate Tax Bills
Modernized systems help Treasurer’s Office get 2026 real estate tax bills to residents faster.
PITTSBURGH, PA – The Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office announced today that 2026 real estate tax bills are being mailed to property owners countywide and are now available online.
Residents do not need to wait to receive a physical copy of their bill as they may be viewed and paid online through the Allegheny County Real Estate Tax Portal by searching with a property address or parcel id/lot & block number. Online access allows taxpayers to securely review billing information and submit payments at any time.
“This year’s real estate tax bill reflects the improvements we have made to better serve our residents and taxpayers,” said Allegheny County Treasurer Erica Rocchi Brusselars. “The redesigned bill is clearer and easier to understand, and our internal upgrades allowed us to get bills into residents’ hands faster than in previous years. We want paying your taxes to be as straightforward and accessible as possible.”
Important 2026 Real Estate Tax Deadlines:
-
2% Discount Period Ends: March 31, 2026
-
Gross (Face) Payment Deadline: April 30, 2026
A one-time 5% penalty is added to the amount due after April 30, 2026, plus 1% interest is added monthly to the outstanding balance due. Unpaid current year balances are sent to a third-party collection agency at year-end.
The Treasurer’s Office offers several convenient payment methods.
Online: Taxpayers may pay online using an e-check (bank account payment) at no additional cost or by credit or debit card, which is subject to a third-party processing fee of 2.4%. This fee is collected by FORTE, not by the Treasurer's Office, and will appear as a separate line item on the statement. The Treasurer’s Office does not retain any portion of this fee. Payments can be made through the Real Estate Tax Portal at RealEstate.AlleghenyCounty.us.
By Mail: Payments may be mailed using the return envelope included with the bill or sent to:
Allegheny County Treasurer PO Box 643385 Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3385
In Person: Payments are accepted at the Treasurer’s Office, Room 108, Allegheny County Courthouse, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, money order, and card.
Receipts: Receipts become available 7-10 days after payment is processed.
