The Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) is seeking public comment on proposed rule adoption to Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) 690, Division 601, regarding best practices in community engagement for the development and implementation of OWRD-funded water projects. These rules are needed to implement ORS 541.551 (HB 3293, 2021), which requires OWRD to recognize best practices in community engagement.

OWRD will accept written public comments on the rules until 5 p.m. on January 15, 2025. A hybrid public hearing is scheduled for January 9, 2025, for members of the public to submit oral comments. More information is provided below.
