At their April 22-24, 2024 board meeting in Baker City, the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB):

  • Awarded a total of $11,378,813 to 62 restoration, technical assistance, and engagement grants to local organizations statewide.
  • Four Focused Investment Partnership (FIP) initiatives were selected to receive a total of $9,448,863 to support fish and wildlife habitat and water quality projects. Over six years, the total investment for the FIP initiatives may exceed $40 million.

“These investments support watersheds, fish and wildlife habitats, and communities,” says Stephanie Page, OWEB’s Acting Executive Director. “They will improve in-stream habitat and enhance stream flows. They enhance wildlife habitats such as urban forests, oak woodland, prairies, and meadows. They will help communities stay resilient during hotter, drier summers and wildfire. These investments showcase Oregon’s commitment to mitigate the impacts of climate change.”

Funding for these projects includes Oregon Lottery and Federal Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery funds provided by the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration. A listing of all awarded grants is available at:

Since 1999, the Oregon Lottery has provided over $525 million to OWEB’s grant program that helps restore, maintain, and enhance Oregon’s watersheds. For more information about the Oregon Lottery visit www.oregonlottery.org
