The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) is proud to announce and welcome Stephanie Page as Deputy Director effective December 1, 2021. As Deputy Director, Stephanie will be responsible for team leadership, technical services, monitoring, interagency coordination, as well as general management responsibilities.

“Stephanie is a well-respected leader in climate change policy and implementation and watershed restoration, and I am honored to have her join the OWEB team,” says Lisa Hanson, OWEB Director. “Her extensive education, work history and passion for protecting and restoring Oregon’s watersheds and natural habitats will benefit staff, the board and all Oregonians.”

Stephanie joins OWEB from the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA).  During her 20 years at ODA, she served in several programs including Agriculture Water Quality, Food Safety and Animal Health and most recently as the program director for the Natural Resources Program Area (NRPA).

As NRPA director, Stephanie collaborates extensively with OWEB as well as several other state agencies. OWEB and ODA's Agricultural Water Quality and Soil and Water District programs have a long history of collaboration. OWEB grants help meet the goals of the Ag Water Quality Program, and support Soil and Water Conservation Districts in their work with landowners and managers. ODA staff collaborate with OWEB to review grant applications, conduct outreach about funding opportunities, and administer grants to Soil and Water Conservation Districts.

Stephanie’s education and expertise is in renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change. She has a bachelor's and master's degree in Earth Systems from Stanford University. The Earth Systems program is an interdisciplinary environmental science program that includes significant curriculum on the interactions of people and ecosystems with the earth's climate.
