OWEB seeks public comment on proposed rules for Land Acquisition Grants, including statement of need and fiscal impact.

Overview

OWEB Land Acquisition grants support acquisition of interests in lands from willing sellers for the purpose of maintaining or restoring watersheds and habitats for native fish or wildlife. With the assistance of a Rules Advisory Committee made up of representatives from the land conservation community, OWEB is proposing to amend the administrative rules that guide the land acquisition grant program.

Comment Period

The public comment period for the proposed rules begins on February 1, 2019 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2019.

Public Hearing

OWEB will hold a public hearing on February 20, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Department of State Lands, Mill Creek Room, 775 Summer St. NE, Salem to receive comments regarding the proposed rule amendments. Both oral and written comments will be accepted at the hearing.
