Share the law or rule that impacts your business the most
OSBA is sending this rare, off-cycle edition of our newsletter to help promote a survey from our partners in the nonpartisan Legislative Policy and Research Office (LPRO). See LPRO's message below:

Do you wish you could change state laws and regulations that affect how you do business in Oregon? Researchers at the nonpartisan Legislative Policy and Research Office (LPRO) want to hear from you!
LPRO is gathering information to understand people’s experiences with our state’s business laws and regulations. To do that well, the researchers want to hear directly from people like you—business owners, managers, and leaders in Oregon—who deal with these requirements every day.

This short survey (about 10 to 15 minutes) asks you to describe the state (not federal or local) law or regulation that most impacts your business, and what changes might help your business prosper. The goal is to develop a list of state statutes, regulations, or rules that could be reformed through future legislation.
There are a few things to know:
- The survey is anonymous. It will not ask for your name, your business’s name, or addresses.
- LPRO is conducting this research at the request of Oregon State Representative Nathan Sosa, who is the chair of the House Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection. A summary of the survey results will be posted on LPRO’s website.
- The survey is about Oregon state laws, regulations, and rules. It is not about federal rules, such as the tax code administered by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), or local rules, such as city permits or local land use rules.
- There are no wrong answers for this survey! Any level of detail you can or want to provide will be helpful.
Please complete the survey by Friday, May 1. If you have any questions, please contact LPRO at lpro.surveys@oregonlegislature.gov or 503-986-1813.
Thank you for your insights and your help!
