Public Meeting Notice
The Secretary of State’s Translation Advisory Council will meet in Salem at the Kroc Center on Saturday May 17, 2025.
Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Agenda: Election of Vice Chair, Staff Report, Glossary Workgroups, guest speakers Michelle Ciulla Lipkin (National Association for Media Literacy Education) and Kathay Feng (Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Department)

The meetings are open to the public, but the Council is not required to take public comments or facilitate public participation. There are no agenda items to receive public comments at this meeting.
The Council was created to make recommendations to the Secretary on matters of translation prior to each election. Council members review translated voters’ pamphlet information to ensure translations are accurate and culturally appropriate. The Council is comprised of appointed members who have proficiency in one of the languages of translation.
