The Secretary of State will orient new members of the Secretary of State’s Translation Advisory Council virtually on July 11, at 12:00 PM, and the full Council will meet on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 AM to fulfill Council business.

The meetings are open to the public, but the Council is not required to take public comments or facilitate public participation.  There are no agenda items to receive public comments at this meeting. 

The Council was created to make recommendations to the Secretary on matters of translation prior to each election. Council members review translated voter pamphlet information to ensure translations are accurate and culturally appropriate. The Council is comprised of appointed members who have proficiency in one of the languages of translation.
