TRANSLATION ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

The Secretary of State’s Translation Advisory Council will meet virtually on Wednesday, November 1, at 6:00 PM with greetings from the Secretary of State Lavonne Griffin-Valade and work group and staff reports.

The Council is not required to take public testimony.

The Council was created to make recommendations to the Secretary on matters of translation, including the translation of voters’ pamphlets prior to each election. Council members review translated voter information to ensure translations are accurate and culturally appropriate. The Council is comprised of appointed at large and translator members who have proficiency in one of the languages of translation.
