Intro to Oregon Public Records (Records Management 101)
This class will cover the basic legal framework for public records in Oregon including relevant laws and administrative rules governing access and retention. The instructor will go over new technologies and the basics of managing electronic records, and talk about new techniques to better manage public records.
Formerly known as "Records Officer Bootcamp," this updated class takes a deeper dive into records inventories, retention schedules, file plans, and managing an internal records management program. This training is targeted towards state agency Records Officers. Records Coordinators, local government Records Officers, and those aspiring to move into a Records Officer role are all welcome. If you are not already familiar with the basics of records management, please attend Intro to Oregon Public Records (Records Management 101) prior to this training.
