Dear Oregonians,
There’s an election on Tuesday, May 16. It’s time to vote! Get all the info you need at Oregonvotes.gov.
Here’s what you need to know:
May 16 is a Special District Election that’s run at the county level. You’ll see school board candidates, fire district candidates, water district candidates and other local elected positions or ballot measures.
Voting in a special district election is the same as voting in other elections. Fill out your ballot with your choices – it’s not a test and you can skip contests or fill them all out. All you need is a blue or black pen. Just make sure to sign the back of the return envelope.
Lost your ballot? No worries. Visit your county elections office and they’ll help you get a new one.
Oregon’s elections are the gold-standard in security, accessibility and transparency. But false information is a real threat to our democracy. We encourage you to always check information at trusted sources. Start with Oregonvotes.gov, your official source for election information in Oregon.
