Dear Oregon Voter,
Election Day is here! It’s time to vote! Get all the info you need, including results at Oregonvotes.gov.
Remember, there’s a new law in effect this year called the postmark rule, which says that ballots postmarked by Election Day will count even if they arrive at the election office up to 7 days after Election Day. This improvement ensures that every vote cast on time gets counted. It may also delay the results of close races because it will take a few days for all the votes to be counted.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Learn more about candidates, ballot measures and voting rules in the Oregon Voters’ Pamphlet.
- Fill out your ballot. It isn’t a test. You can skip contests or fill them all out. It’s up to you. All you need is a pen. Just make sure to sign the back of the envelope.
- Send us your ballot through the U.S. Mail. It must be postmarked by Election Day. Or use an official ballot drop site by 8 PM on Election Day.
- Lost your ballot? No worries. Visit your county elections office and they’ll help you get a new one.
