News About Municipal Audits in Oregon
Building Official Audits Now Required
Senate Bill 866 was passed during the 2021 legislative session and requires any city or county using a contracted building official to undergo periodic audits of the funds and compliance of the program, and to make the results of the audit easily available.
We received quite a few questions from auditors about this new requirement and the type of engagement expected. We consulted DCBS and created a Q+A to answer a few of those questions.
