SALEM, OR — Election Day is a few short days away and unofficial ballot return numbers have already reached a number higher than the May primary election. As of today, unofficial ballot return numbers show 61.2% or 1,806,172 ballots returned! Our office, along with our election partners are working tirelessly to ensure that voters have the information they need and are able to cast their ballots this election.
As a reminder, the General Election is on November 3rd. All ballots must be received in an official dropbox or at the county election office by 8 p.m. on November 3rd, postmarks do not count.
It is too late to mail ballots, so please look for official dropbox locations. Dropboxes across the state can be found on our website at oregonvotes.gov/dropbox. All official dropboxes will be clearly marked, please look for official signage.
Unofficial results are released shortly after 8 p.m. election night and will continue to be updated through election night. Final certified results will be available 30 days after the election.
“I hope all voters have the opportunity to cast their ballot and ensure their voices are heard on Election Day,” said Secretary Clarno. “Elections are such an important part of our democracy and I am hoping to see a record turnout this election. I continue to challenge Oregonians to get their ballots in so we can show the nation we are engaged and committed to democracy!”
