The devastating wildfires have impacted many Oregonians. For any Oregonians displaced from their home and concerned about voting in the General Election this November, rest assured our office is working closely with local election officials to ensure voters receive their ballot. More information specific to the wildfires and voting is available here.
Oregon’s Vote by Mail system provides a convenient way to vote, and voters may also track their ballot. Voters can see where their ballot is in the process through My Vote.
Voters with disabilities or who need assistance or accommodation have options to help ensure their voices are heard. Voters may receive assistance or accommodation with registering to vote, voting, and returning their ballot. We have information for those who may need assistance or accommodation online.
“Our vote by mail system is safe, secure and convenient,” said Secretary Clarno. “I challenge all eligible voters to vote in this General Election so that Oregon can lead the nation in voter turnout. Oregon has and continues to blaze new trails in expanding access to voting. Other states are beginning to follow our Vote by Mail example, but let’s prove to the nation that our citizens are engaged and committed to democracy.”
Remember, your ballot must be received by election officials by 8:00 p.m. on November 3rd to be counted! Postmarks do not count. Please return your ballot as early as possible. If you are returning your ballot through the mail, we recommend you send it in no later than October 27th. Official dropbox locations will be available no later than October 15th.
