A message from Todd Albert, Acting Public Records Advocate, on the end of the 2020 legislative session:
The chance to pass SB 1506 ended along with the short legislative session. That matters. What also matters is that the office of the Public Records Advocate will continue to mediate public records disputes and provide free, comprehensive trainings to public employees and members of the public alike, as it has since it first opened its doors on April 25, 2018. People know they are getting someone who can help when they contact, or are contacted by, the advocate’s office. That will remain true regardless of the state of the law. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you require training, assistance or advice
