Your arena, your voice: What should Portland do with the Moda Center? 

Take the City of Portland's survey to share your feedback with City Councilors.

The City of Portland is considering its role in a potential renovation of the Moda Center. The 30-year-old City-owned arena is home to the Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Fire, and it hosts many concerts and family-friendly events throughout the year. The Moda Center also brings $600 million to the local economy annually and supports thousands of jobs.

As outlined in Senate Bill 1501, signed by Governor Kotek in April, the City's expected contribution is $120 million. If a new lease with Moda's primary tenant isn’t signed by December 2026, the City will not receive $365 million in State funding to support the renovation and the Blazers’ lease would expire in 2030. 

To gather community feedback, the City recently released a survey about the future of Moda. Input collected through the survey will be shared with City Councilors and used to inform discussions moving forward. You can also connect with D2 City Councilors about this on Saturday, June 13 at our pop-up events at McCoy Park (1-2:30 p.m.) and Irving Park (3:30-5 p.m.).
