Overview: June 8–19
Over the next two weeks, PBOT contractors will have several active work zones along NE/SE 82nd Avenue. One lane on NE/SE 82nd Avenue in each direction will remain open during construction. Travelers in the construction areas should expect delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Please travel safely through work zones and follow all flaggers, detour signs, and traffic control devices.
Details and traffic impacts
NE Milton to Siskiyou – Utility work will require lane closures.
NE Thompson to Hancock – Paving will require lane closures and turning restrictions. Several side streets will be closed to through traffic at 82nd Avenue, including NE Tillamook. The following detours will be in place for eastbound and westbound traffic:
Drivers will be detoured to NE Thompson Street.
People bicycling will be detoured to NE Siskiyou Street.
Pedestrians will be able to cross 82nd Avenue at NE Thompson or NE Siskiyou streets.
SE Powell to Bush – Paving on SE 82nd Avenue will require lane closures and turning restrictions.
SE Liebe – Civil work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
SE Mitchell – Underground electrical and foundation work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue and a pedestrian detour.
SE Insley to Foster – Pavement repair will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
SE Ramona to Tolman – Landscaping work at Ramona will require lane closures. Beginning June 22, center median island construction at Tolman will also require lane closures and turning restrictions on SE 82nd Avenue.
In addition to the above, contractors will complete punch list items throughout NE/SE 82nd Avenue. Remaining punch list items will require intermittent lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
Heads up! Excavation and paving on NE 82nd Avenue between NE Thompson and Hancock streets begins June 15

As a part of the 82nd Avenue Major Maintenance project, contractors with PBOT continue to pave segments of NE/SE 82nd Avenue. Beginning Monday June 15, contractors will begin paving paving NE 82nd Avenue between NE Thompson and Hancock streets. Paving activity in this segment will continue through June 19.
One lane in each direction on 82nd Avenue will remain open during paving. People traveling on NE 82nd Avenue can expect delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Driveway access will be impacted temporarily during outer lane excavation and paving, and contractors will coordinate with individual businesses to limit driveway access disruptions. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Several side streets will be closed to through traffic and left turns at 82nd Avenue, including NE Tillamook Street. The following detours will be in place for eastbound and westbound traffic:

Pedestrians will be directed to cross 82nd Avenue at NE Thompson or NE Siskiyou streets.
