Filtration construction blasting alert
Controlled blasting at the southeast corner of the filtration facility, planned for the week of June 8, 2026, is now scheduled for June 9 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The date and time are subject to change depending on progress.
Safety will be a priority. Noise and vibration from each blast will last only a few seconds and will be monitored.

The Bull Run Filtration Project will remove Cryptosporidium and other contaminants from the Bull Run water supply, producing cleaner, safer water for the one million people who use our water now and for future generations. The project is required by the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and must be completed by September 30, 2029, through a bilateral compliance agreement with the Oregon Health Authority.
