Community centers manager Terri Davis didn’t plan to build a career in parks and recreation. She was a stay-at-home mom who took an exercise class at Fulton Park Community Center because it offered childcare. One opportunity led to another, and more than 30 years later she’s still focused on the same thing: creating welcoming places where people feel connected to their community.
“People work in parks and recreation because they love what they do. Because, at the end of the day, we want to make people's lives better. That matters to me.”
