Urban Forestry is Hiring Two Tree Inspectors
Urban Forestry is currently recruiting for two Street Tree Maintenance Program Tree Inspectors, funded by the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF). This program will inspect and maintain approximately 330,000 street trees, improving tree health, public safety, and neighborhood livability while reducing the financial burden on adjacent property owners. Salary: $40.91 - $52.21, hourly. Applications close February 17.
Portland Parks Foundation Revives North Portland Fund Community Grant Program
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) and Portland Parks Foundation (PPF) are partnering to re-launch the North Portland Fund (NPF) Community Grants Program. This program offers grants ranging in size from $3,000 to $10,000. The first grant cycle opens March 1.
As this program returns, PPF is seeking seven individuals from the North Portland priority neighborhoods to join the Grants Selection Committee. Applications are open until March 6.
PPF and PP&R will co-host two virtual community meetings for those interested in learning more about the NPF Community Grant Program on Wednesday, February 25, at 6pm and Thursday, February 26, at 12pm.
Give Your Feedback on the George Park Project
The George Park Project is in the final phase of community input. The project aims to redesign George Park to be a safe and welcoming neighborhood space. Community members are invited to review the refined designs and help inform final decisions before construction documents are finalized.
There are several ways to learn about the project and share feedback during this final design check-in.
The survey closes at 9am Monday, March 2.
