The Water Bureau has paused project construction for the Multnomah County remand period. We are continuing activities necessary to protect public health and safety, secure construction sites, and comply with permits, including erosion, sediment, and dust control.
Tomorrow, March 6, expect increased truck traffic to the Filtration facility site off Carpenter Lane. As part of the wind-down activities and ensuring construction sites remain safe during the remand process, contractors will be adding concrete to secure shoring in trenches on the site. This activity is expected to be completed in one day between 7am and 6pm.
Work schedules are subject to change depending on weather and other field conditions. For the latest information, please visit: portland.gov/filtrationconstruction.

The Bull Run Filtration Project will remove Cryptosporidium and other contaminants from the Bull Run water supply, producing cleaner, safer water for the one million people who use our water now and for future generations. The project is required by the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and must be in operation by September 30, 2027, through a bilateral compliance agreement with the Oregon Health Authority.
