This week I was honored to attend the 2025 Jobs with Justice Faith & Labor Breakfast this morning at St. Andrew Church. This cherished annual gathering celebrates the deep solidarity between organized labor and faith-based communities, uniting allies committed to justice and equity.
This year's theme, *Rest, Resist, Rebuild*, reflects the urgent need to defend the gains of the labor movement and stand with those most impacted by the challenges ahead under the current POTUS.
A presenter at the Faith and Labor Breakfast hosted by Portland Jobs with Justice
We heard very powerful words from speakers and panelists, highlighting the struggles faced by immigrant and refugee communities and the importance of collective action in the fight for justice.
I want to shout out a favorite moment: Councilor Mitch Green and I looked at each other with excitement as Jackie Naganuma from ONA said boldly, "I HAVE BIG PLANS FOR THE UNION!"
Shout it from the rooftops! Loving that energy!
We are in this together and our fight and work are connected.

A continued thank you to those reaching out to the office with your concerns, questions and suggestions for our community. One topic of high interest recently: Zenith. Councilors Morillo and Green have filed a resolution calling for formal investigation into Zenith's use of its franchise agreement with the city, and I have proudly added my name as a co-sponsor. My understanding is that this resolution will be taken up first in committee in early March, ultimately heading to the full council. It was great to see friends come down to City Hall again this week and make their voices heard. Keep up the good fight!!!
Until next week,
Tiffany
