Small Grants, Big Impacts
Civic Life’s 2024-2025 Small Grants & Sponsorships Program cycle is drawing to a close as projects and events are being completed! Check out some of the cool things the grantees did.
Going forward, funding for small grants will be administered by our district coalition office partners.

The New Portlanders Policy Commission (NPPC) has voted in its new leadership team. Congratulations to Co-Chairs Maritza and Sahar, and to Secretary Jorge!
The NPPC is one of Civic Life's advisory bodies and works to integrate immigrant and refugee communities’ voices into the City of Portland's policies and decision-making. Commission members are immigrants, refugees, community advocates, and live, work, play, or pray in the City of Portland.
You can follow the NPPC's Instagram account for direct updates on their work and the Civic Life account for updates on all of our programs.

Here’s a guide for how to update neighborhood ssociation contact information for new members to ensure you receive timely and relevant information from the City.
1. Go to the City’s Neighborhood Directory webpage.

2. Find your neighborhood by scrolling through the list or searching the name in the search bar and click on the name.
3. On the neighborhood page, scroll down to the section called Neighborhood Association Leadership Contacts. There will be a table showing the position, name, and contact information for NA leadership roles.

5. Fill in the appropriate information in each field and click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
And you're done!

On July 1, Civic Life's DCO model changed from 7 to 4 service areas, all supported by nonprofit-run district offices.

Neighborhood Association Meetings |
|
Neighborhood associations are one of the many ways people can participate in community gathering and advocacy. Meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome.
|
|
Joining an advisory body is a way for Portlanders to lend their expertise and personal or professional experience to the City of Portland. Advisory body members work closely with community members and City of Portland liaisons to impact policies and programs.
