What a weekend!! We had great weather, AMAZING volunteers, and over 15,000 participants came out to kickoff the Sunday Parkways season in East Portland this past weekend.
Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who helped make this event happen, and to NW Natural for their volunteer team and contributions!
Volunteers like you are what keeps Sunday Parkways a FREE, community event. We need YOU to help make this event happen! Our biggest need is for Mobile Superheroes and Intersection Superheroes.
Mobile Superhero - Ride the route, keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood and backing up the Intersection Superheroes.
Intersection Superhero - Keep neighbors happy and help cars navigate around the event.
Shifts are 3.5hrs long, and we have AM and PM opportunities available.
We will be walking, biking, and rolling in the Starlight Parade to promote Portland Sunday Parkways! We will also have Boom Bike PDX participating with our group and providing live music on their 100% human-powered mobile soundstage, pedaled behind a trike.

Important notes:
- Please wear a Sunday Parkways t-shirt during the parade. It can be the 2024 t-shirt or a t-shirt from a past year.
- This is a night parade, so illumination is key! Bling your bikes, scooters, skateboards, walking shoes, and/or skates with all things that glow (string lights, rope lights, bike lights).
- You can also illuminate yourself with reflective hi-vis gear or anything else that sparkles and shines (glitter, sequins, and disco balls, oh my)!
- All ages are invited to join in the fun!
