Celebrating Rosa Parks Day!

Once again, TriMet will be honoring Rosa Parks on February 4, 2023 and no fares will be collected on TriMet from 3:30 a.m. on February 4^th thru the end of the service day at 2 a.m. on February 5^th . They’ll be no need to tap a Hop Fastpass®, stop at the ticket machine or pay at the fare box.

The Return of Fix-It Fairs

“Save the date! Fix-It Fair returns in person on January 28th at George Middle School from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. You won't want to miss the return of this one-stop event for hands-on resources to stay healthy and safe while also saving money. Make sure to check out the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s booth during your visit! We will be sharing bike repair tips and providing a luminous activity so make sure to bring a personal item (article of clothing, a helmet, a favorite bag/backpack, etc.) that you want to bling in the new year!”

Can’t make this one? Don’t worry. The next Fix-It Fair is on Saturday, March 4^th at Parkrose High School.

Get Moving!

PBOT has created 14 neighborhood walking and rolling routes throughout the city to help start your year off in the right direction. Now is the perfect time to start the year off and create a healthy habit by exploring your neighborhood or discover a new one. With the days growing longer and becoming drier, you can take a walk right after dinner tonight. What are you waiting for, spring? No matter when you start, these Walking Routes will be there for you to explore.

Portland Winter Lights Festival

Even in the darkest season of the year, you can still find light! The Portland Winter Lights Festival is a free citywide outdoor event featuring live entertainment, kinetic light sculptures, and pop-up art installations throughout the city for the whole family to enjoy. The event runs over two consecutive weekends, Fridays & Saturdays – 3^rd & 4^th, 10^th & 11th, beginning at 6pm.

For more information about the various art installation locations, volunteer opportunities, and even donate, check out the Program of Events. This event is guaranteed to be illuminating! 😊
