Bicycle Advisory Committee

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will be holding a virtual Bicycle Advisory Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 8th from 6-8 pm via Zoom. Please see below for details and instructions on how to join.

Agenda:

Introductions/Announcements (6:00-6:10)

 

Hawthorne Pave and Paint Project (6:10-6:50)

PBOT staff has conducted an alternatives evaluation of the Hawthorne Pave and Paint Project. Staff is seeking feedback on the committee’s preferred alternative.

 

Northwest in Motion (6:50-7:10)

Zef Wagner from PBOT will respond to committee questions / suggestions about the Northwest In Motion Project. This will be an opportunity for questions and answers, followed by approval of a committee letter about this plan.

 

Micromobility Discussion (7:10-7:50)

This agenda item will focus on three topics: findings on 2019-20 e-scooter trial, Biketown re-launch, and a New Mobility Snapshot report providing a broad look at 2019 data for all new mobility. Jacob Sherman and Catherine Ciarlo from PBOT will lead a discussion about PBOT’s findings from the 2019-20 e-scooter pilot. They will discuss next steps for the program including outreach and will seek committee input on how e-scooters and bicycle transportation can be co-engaged in planning. Steve Hoyt-McBeth from PBOT will briefly discuss the upcoming launch of BikeTown e-bikes and will discuss ways in which the committee can be engaged moving forward.
