You may have noticed a lot of street construction happening around Portland over the last three years. Many of the new transportation projects being built around the city were paid for by Fixing Our Streets, a 10-cent gas tax approved by Portland voters - the city’s first local funding source dedicated exclusively to the city’s transportation needs.
Fixing Our Streets has transformed Portland neighborhoods and made it safer and more convenient for students to walk and roll to school.

With the revenue raised by the 10-cent gas tax, PBOT has been working hard to deliver projects all around Portland. We began with a clear mission to fix our ailing infrastructure, and make it safer for children, elders, people with disabilities, and all Portlanders to travel on our streets. With the guidance of the Fixing Our Streets Oversight Committee, PBOT hit the ground running with a lengthy list of projects and priorities.
In three years, we have kept our promise to Portland, delivering a wide variety of projects in every corner of the city.
