Join us for
Free Compost Week
|
|
You are invited to join the Portland Bureau of Transportation for Free Compost Week!
Portland loves Burger Week and Pizza Week, now it’s time to fall in love with Compost Week. Join us October 20 - 27 from 8 AM to 5 PM for all the compost your heart desires at no cost to you.
This high quality compost comes to you courtesy of Portland's city trees. Every year, PBOT collects the leaves from Portland city streets during Leaf Day and turns them into compost. 2017's leaves have been cooking all year and are now ready for your garden. Bring some bags and shovel and take some free compost home. Or if you’d like a larger quantity of compost and have an open bed vehicle, our staff will be happy to load the compost for you.
Where: Sunderland Maintenance Yard
Address: 9325 NE Sunderland Road
When: October 20 - October 27
Time: 8 AM - 5 PM
Help us spread the word by sharing this message with your friends and family. Or use our handy Compost Week event on Facebook to let folks know about our free compost. We can't wait to see you! If you have questions, please call 503-823-3500.
