Advisory:

Holiday Moratorium begins on November 16, 2017

To all permitted users of the public rights-of-way:

Portland’s Bureau of Transportation implements a moratorium on use of the public right-of-way to support the holiday season and varied activities. Due to increased activity in the city’s major retail districts during the holiday season, specific areas and streets have restricted use. Portland’s Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will institute a moratorium on use of the public right of way, beginning November 16, 2017 and continuing through January 2, 2018.

The moratorium restricts routine closing of parking spaces, sidewalks, travel lanes and streets per the streets as shown on the Holiday Moratorium Map available on line at:

Exemptions:

Portland’s Bureau of Transportation and the Holiday Moratorium Committee consider requests for exemptions to the moratorium based on verifiable emergency need for work utilizing the public right of way. Current information about the Holiday Moratorium is available at the same link, including the exemption form. The completed form shall be submitted to the e-mail address below by Nov 1, 2017. Exemption requests that miss the deadline will not be considered unless it is a verifiable emergency.

In addition, as you plan your work for the rest of 2018, keep in mind that the Rose Festival Moratorium restrictions will apply May 31, 2018 through June 12, 2018, and plan your work accordingly.
