Parking Advisory: SmartPark Garages to close for Christmas Day holiday

On-street parking is free at meters on Christmas Day

(Dec. 23, 2016) The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises visitors to Downtown Portland that all SmartPark garages will close at 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 24, and will re-open for Monday, December 26. On-street parking will be free at parking meters on Christmas Day and regular parking rates will apply on Monday.

SmartPark garages will re-open for Monday according to the following schedule and then will operate according to regular business hours.

SmartPark Garage Opening Times for Monday, December 26:

  • 3rd & Alder - 5 a.m. 
  • 4th & Yamhill - 5 a.m. 
  • 10th & Yamhill - 5 a.m. 
  • 1st & Jefferson - 5 a.m.
  • Naito & Davis - 5 a.m.
  • O’Bryant Square - 6:30 a.m.

New Year’s Holiday

All SmartPark Garages will be open for regular business hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.  On-street parking will be free at the meters on New Year’s Day, and the regular parking rates will apply on Monday, January 2nd.

The six City of Portland SmartPark parking garages include nearly 3,800 public parking spaces and serve shoppers, business clients and visitors to Downtown Portland.
