Attention employers with side accounts
What happens when your side account expires?
Finance officers, budgeting roles, and agency leaders — join us for the 2027 Side Account Expiration Process information session on August 25. Whether or not your side account is expiring in 2027, come learn what happens when your side account, and the rate offset it provides, come to an end. Session-join information is below.

The session includes two parts:

Part 1. Presentation: the timeline and process of transitioning an account from active to expired to closed. 40 minutes.

Part 2. Question-and-answer (Q&A): PERS actuarial and financial experts answer presubmitted and live questions. 20 minutes.

Email your side account question to: actuarial.services@pers.oregon.gov.
If your question is too specific to your situation, we may just answer you directly. Please remember not to send personally identifiable information through email.
How to join the session
Share this notice with financial staff Please share this email with financial and budgeting staff in your organization. If they do not receive notices from PERS, they can follow the instructions to sign up for the PERS GovDelivery mailing list. On the Quick Subscribe page, scroll down to the subscription topic Employer Information and check “Employer News/Employer Announcements.” Sign up for any other topics of interest, then scroll down and click Submit.
