You received this email because you either signed up through GovDelivery for Employer News information or had previously included your contact information in the PERS Employer Data Exchange (EDX) system. We are transitioning PERS employer email communications from a listserv to GovDelivery. Please review your GovDelivery subscriptions and targeting "Questions" here to ensure you will receive the most relevant information in the future. Thank you for forwarding this email to your colleagues and encouraging them to sign up for GovDelivery.

GovDelivery transition

To enhance PERS employer email communications, we are transitioning the “Pers_employer_email_contacts” listserv (pers_employer_email_contacts-bounces@listsmart.osl.state.or.us) to GovDelivery.

Moving to GovDelivery will allow PERS to better communicate with you about the topics you care about, instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Using GovDelivery will also allow you or your colleagues to directly set up email subscriptions and add new contacts outside of the EDX system.

This change will NOT impact one-on-one email communication with your Employer Service Center (ESC) Account Team representative or other contacts at PERS.


Help us target PERS communications

While we made this transition using existing contact information from EDX, we need your ongoing help to ensure we have the right contacts and the correct targeting data, so you and your colleagues get the critical PERS information you need.  

As a PERS employer contact receiving this email, you have been subscribed to the “Employer News/Employer Announcements” topic in GovDelivery.

  • You can add/update/change your GovDelivery subscriptions. Please review your GovDelivery “Subscriber Preferences” under “Questions” to ensure you will receive the most relevant information: https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/ORPERS/subscriber/new
  • While GovDelivery has the option to completely unsubscribe, please make sure your organization continues to have at least one contact included in GovDelivery so that you can receive important PERS information.

The question “What is your job function as it relates to PERS?” is essential. Answers to this field let PERS know what type of information you need.

  • All employer-related questions are “check all that apply” so that you can choose multiple options if needed. For example, you would use this if you work for multiple PERS-participating employers.
Questions in GovDelivery used for targeting
  • We can now send different information to various employer contacts. Some examples include only sending EDX and PERS data reporting information to “Payroll Specialist / EDX Reporter,” or sending information about policy and funding issues to “Agency Head / Executive / Administrator.”
  • We also recognize we need to do a better job in helping you pass on relevant retirement planning information to your staff. Please have anyone in your office who sends internal emails about PERS, benefit-related information, and other human resources staff sign up for GovDelivery using the “Human Resources/Personnel” job function.

If you are a new subscriber, the “optional” questions after you have chosen your GovDelivery topics are required.
