Printing error on some Tier Two Member Annual Statements

A printing error caused Tier Two account balance information to display incorrectly on some 2017 Tier Two Member Annual Statements. PERS is mailing corrected statements to all impacted members. You can also view your correct Tier Two account balance information on Online Member Services.

Please be assured that member account balances on the PERS system are correct. 

The printing error impacted only some members' statements, displaying either an extra, misplaced digit or completely dropping information from certain Tier Two account balance fields. The error occurred where dollar amounts ended in $.00 or $.X0. Correct statements should all have two digits after the decimal point in all fields.

The most obvious error was with balances that ended in $.00, which caused the entire thousands' digits to be removed: e.g., if a correct balance was $10,939.00, the incorrect statement displayed $939 with no decimal point. A more minor error impacted some members, incorrectly duplicating digits: e.g., 2017 earnings of $1,385.90 may have been displayed as $1,3855.9.
