What is proposed?
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is proposing to issue a registration to the Confined Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit #01-2016 for a new large Tier 2, 2,500 dairy heifer CAFO to Arie Dejong dba Straight Ranch LLC. The operation’s mailing address is: 4721 Harpold Rd., Bonanza, Oregon 97623 and phone number is: (541) 545-6173. The operation is located at 44 Township Road in Klamath Falls, Oregon 97603 in Klamath County.
The CAFO NPDES General Permit #01-2016 regulates the manure, litter, and process waste water generated by CAFOs to ensure that CAFO activities do not harm water quality. You may view the NPDES CAFO General Permit No. 01-2016 online.
