Jason Galbraith is a CTE teacher in Beaverton School District and teachers computer science and engineering at Sunset High School. Two of his students nominated him and noted "He created an environment where I felt all the more comfortable. I wholeheartedly believe that we can build a successful future for any student by embracing challenges..." Through his career, Jason has created tutorials and videos which allow students to learn at their own pace which allows ample time for one-on-one support.

In partnership with Elite Truck School and Tri-Met, Northwest Regional ESD is launching a Class A CDL Pilot for the 'Class of 2026' graduating seniors (including GED completers) in Washington County public schools. Applications are expected to open in October. Spots are limited.

The Higher Education Career Path Skills group is a product of the Senate Bill 3 support group hosted in the 24-25 SY. This year, the workgroup will focus on regional needs as it relates to the career path skills requirement. Participants will convene virtually 3 times throughout the year. At the convenings, participants can expect to identify solutions to meet the graduation requirement.

Priority for participant selection will be based on ensuring that this series includes educator representation from the entire NW Oregon Region, with a goal of including educators from all districts in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, and Washington Counties.

Students could earn up to $250 with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Billboard design contest! ODOT is partnering with community partners to recruit high school students to design a billboard. Students are expected to educate drivers about the dangers of work zones and encourage safe driving.

Pacific University is offering in person & virtual sessions for students to learn about the program, experiential education, and clinical rotations. Additionally, students will have the chance to hear from current students and alumni! Portland Preview Days are designed for high school students to learn more about Portland Community College. Participants can expect to:
- Receive valuable information on how to prepare to attend PCC
- Hear about programs, degrees, and certificates
- Spend time interacting with PCC faculty and staff
- Learn about financial aid and other scholarship opportunities

As the SchooLinks career & college readiness platform rolls out in the NW Oregon region, bi-monthly check ins are provided to all participating districts. Districts are expected to designate at least one team member to engage in these check ins.
Participants can expect:
- A community of educational staff that use SchooLinks
- To identify and implement best practices
- To lead implementation for their district
