Artificial Intelligence Empowered EDU Conference

May 13 - University of Portland

Get ready to dig into the real impact of AI in education. Workshops will offer tools, strategies and policy ideas for integrating AI into classrooms and schools the right way. We know there are downsides — but what are they? Our presenters will delve into those details and more.

Workshop sessions will cover:

• ethical and responsible AI literacy
• AI for inclusive and impactful education
• efficiency and productivity
• preparing students for the workforce
• leadership and strategic planning
  
  

We look forward to learning alongside each of you as we continue to navigate the AI in education landscape together.

This event is $50 for educators in the Clackamas, Multnomah and Northwest Regional education service district regions and $150 for educators outside these regions.

Equity Events

Our Equity and Family Partnerships team offers workshops, series, book clubs, affinity groups, equity onboarding and student-led summits throughout the year. We hope you can join us.

• The Impeccable Ally: Refining the Practice of Racial Allyship three-part series starts April 9 with subsequent sessions on April 16 and 23 on Zoom. These trainings will be held 4-6 p.m. 
• Racial Equity Affinity Group is a monthly affinity opportunity for educators of color. The next meeting is 4-5:30 p.m. on April 24 at our Beaverton Early Childhood Center.
• Cascade Alliance for Equity Spring Summit is June 13 in Seaside
  
  • We are now accepting applications from student presenters for this event. Students will be compensated for their time and will gain valuable public speaking skills. Proposals are due May 12. More details on the CAFE page.

Teaching and Learning Events

Our coaches, professional learning specialists and teachers on special assignments lead nearly 20 programs geared specifically to your content area and level. We offer workshops, training series, on-site coaching and yearlong collaboratives in MtSS, literacy, instructional coaching, mentoring, positive behavior supports, attendance, social emotional systems and more.

• EdTech Cadre is 9 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. on May 1 in Hillsboro
• Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol Workshop is May 5 in Seaside
• Science of Reading, Science of Teaching and Data-Based Decision-Making is May 15 in Hillsboro
• Artificial Intelligence Innovators Forum is 4:30-5:30 p.m. on June 4 on Zoom
• Artificial Intelligence Empowered Education Conference is May 13 at the University of Portland.

Culture and Climate Events

Join us for these upcoming workshops, trainings, summits and collaboratives to help strengthen your school’s culture and climate using responsive and evidence-based practices.

• ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is on April 10-11 (final opportunity this school year). You must attend both days to complete this training.
• Youth Mental Health First Aid is on April 24 in Hillsboro
• Pre-Registration for Behavior, Attendance, and Social Emotional Systems (BASES) is now open! BASES a three-part training series for the 2025-26 school year focused on improving student attendance, behavior, and school culture and climate. School teams are encouraged to attend together. 2025-26 dates TBD; pre-registration will hold your spot.
