What We're Up To
- We are excited to invite you to the second ribbon-cutting ceremony for our Little Free Library partnership with ODHS! This event will take place on April 3rd at 4 PM at the Tillamook DHS office. We hope you can join us in celebrating the artwork featured in our "How to Raise a Reader" kits, created by a talented local student artist from Nestucca Valley. There will also be book giveaways and refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there! See our English and Spanish flyer for more info.
- We are looking for local organizations who support families during early childhood (prenatal to age 5) to form a Community Cohort to participate in the Family Centered Design Program, an 8-week, innovative professional learning program hosted by Start Early, focused on system-level changes to promote family engagement. The Community Cohort will be made of up to 5 organizations. The kick off will be on 04/14/25. Our Hub team is already "in" and we've also recruited the EI/ECSE program to form a team or two. We are looking for THREE other organizations to join us. Please reach out to us if your organization is interested or if you'd like more information.
- Bright by Text is now Lantern! Families will continue to receive trusted tips, resources, and activities directly to their phones—always free, always helpful. Learn more here: https://mylantern.org/bright-by-text-is-now-lantern/. Text ELHKIDS to 274448 or sign up here!

Parent Perspective 👪
Babies and their families from every state will go to Washington, DC in May 2025, for Strolling Thunder, to share their stories and call on Congress to write a new chapter for America that prioritizes infants, toddlers and their families. One family from every state will be attending. We are so excited that a local voice, Kate Romanov and her child from Nehalem, were chosen to attend!
