Jan. 16 - Hillsboro (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Students at Vernonia Elementary School enjoy books in the library. All four have received reading interventions as part of a system-wide shift to science of reading instruction.
Pre-K through fifth grade teachers, literacy coaches and specialists and other reading-focused educators are invited to join us for our second of four science of reading workshops this school year.
The event will be held at our Washington Service Center in Hillsboro. We can reimburse your district for substitute costs and mileage. The event is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, and lunch will be provided. Participants do not need to attend all sessions to participate in the series. Â
Our instructional coaches will cover:Â
- Science of reading knowledge building
- Scarborough’s Reading Rope: decoding and sight recognition
- Active engagement and instructional routines
- Benchmark assessments
