Happening at the Hub-October 2024

Here at Northwest Early Learning Hub and Northwest Parenting Hub, we consider ourselves a dual hub. To increase our reach and make efficient use of our funding, staff time is leveraged to coordinate the work of both hubs!

Opportunities to Participate

• Be part of our "Inspired to Read" Art Contest! The entry deadline is October 10, 2024, and it's open to anyone aged 3-18 in Clatsop, Columbia, or Tillamook Counties. Check the Art Contest Flyer for details on the prompts, how to submit your entry, and information about prizes.
  
  
• Join our Family Leadership Council for parents and caregivers! If you're interested in learning about resources, enhancing your leadership skills, and connecting with other parents, we’d love to have you! The first English meeting will take place on October 9th 5:30pm-7pm and the first Spanish meeting will take place on October 10th 6pm-7:30pm. Interested in participating? Community Partner Spotlight October is Head Start Awareness Month! Head Start services are available to children ages birth to five at no cost to eligible families. Learn more about Head Start here and/or apply here.

Preschool Promise Spots Available  There are open spots available in the It's a Beautiful Day home based program as well as St Helens School District.  Check out our Facebook post for more information!  Tillamook and Clatsop Counties are currently full but families may apply and be placed on a waitlist.

Did you know? If you have a child under age five you can receive FREE books in participating counties. Check out Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!   Clatsop County  Columbia County  Tillamook County

NW Early Learning Hub is a part of the NWRESD Early Learning Department. Other programs include: 

NW Parenting- A regional collaborative that delivers parenting education programs, educational workshops, family engagement opportunities and support for school success to families in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties. You can view the NW Parenting calendar here to see upcoming events.

Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education- Please contact them if you ever have any concerns about a young child's development. 

NW Regional Child Care Resource & Referral- Provides training and technical assistance to child care providers and Preschool Promise grantees in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook Counties.
