Your On-the-Go Consumer Education Brochure Suite
Make The Most of Your Child Care Visit
The process of searching for child care is undeniably one of the most difficult processes for families with young children to navigate. Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies play a critical role in partnering with families to ensure they have information to make the right child care choice for their family. We are excited to share with you a newly refreshed suite of on-the-go child care information brochures that you can use to bolster your own consumer education offerings.
Our national consumer education team has over two decades of experience working alongside families through our National Child Care Information and Referral Center. In 2019 alone, we engaged with over 5,200 family members through telephone hotline, online instant chat, and email. We met an additional 720,000 unique visitors in 2019 on our consumer education website, where families and early learning care and education professionals access trusted child care information to support their goals, search for their local child care resource and referral agency, access state-by-state resources, and seek a plethora of other helpful resources.
Throughout our years of engagement with families, we’ve tuned in to better understand the evolving child care and early learning needs of families and their children. We have translated what we’ve learned into an updated suite of ten child care brochures you can use off the shelf.
We have an exciting opportunity starting soon! We will have three cohorts starting:
Environment Cohort: Classroom and Outdoor Spaces
Curriculum Cohorts: Gee Whiz, Second Step, Creative Curriculum
Business Cohort: Small Business insight and guidance
These Cohorts will offer you the opportunity to receive training specifically in environments, curriculum, or small business with direct support from a Quality Improvement Specialist. As a cohort, you will have the unique opportunity to engage in ongoing learning with a consistent group of other professionals in your field.
There are additional incentives available to those that received the Stabilization Grant!

Regional Virtual Training is offered for our three counties - Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook. They feature our awesome PD Specialists sharing content that you need in smaller groups where conversation can be more possible and you can feel supported side by side with your peers.
We endeavor to present all of our training in English and Spanish. If you register for a training at least 10 days in advance we will work to provide it in the language of your choice through an interpreter if the original content is not in your language of choice.
These trainings are open only to providers in our three counties - ORO Credit is not granted for participants from outside of the region.

Statewide Live Webinars are presented by trainers across the state to larger groups of participants. Because of the wider group of trainers you can often find training on topics that are different from those offered regionally. These trainings are offered in English OR Spanish and do not usually offer translation or interpretation options.
Providers from outside of our region can register with us for these trainings - Only If they are not shared by their own CCRR. We will verify this.

NW Regional CCRR regularly updates and maintains your program information in the state database. The state database has many functions. The one that might be most important to you is that this is where 211 finds information to make family referrals. We're working to make updates easier for you. Now you can update your program vacancies at any time by completing this form CLICK HERE. We will keep the form link on the Weekly Wire so that you can find it at any time. We will also email the link to you when it is time to update your information. Our team will update your information in the database within the week of your form completion.
Our team will still give you a call regularly to check in, hear how you're doing and offer support. The only difference - now they'll get to focus on the fun work with you rather than the business work. We're looking forward to the change and hope you will find it helpful too.

For foundational Health and Safety training, we can offer you training (in person and) online. Below you will find links to register for training and links that take you directly to online training options (class dependent).
