As you saw this week, we reopened the Clatsop Service Center to staff. Our Levi Anderson campus is still closed to staff due to an outbreak at St Mary’s. You can find an updated list of our buildings’ statuses on our building access information page for staff.
As more of our staff are accessing our buildings, it is really important that everyone understand and follow our face covering protocol. Face coverings must be worn at all times when accessing our buildings. The only exception is when you are in a room with a closed door by yourself.
Face coverings that are allowed for NWRESD staff and student use are:
Disposable face coverings or
Non-disposable face coverings with two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric.
All face coverings must completely cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of your face without gaps.
NWRESD is not allowing the use of any masks with exhalation valves or vents, which allow virus particles to escape, or the use of face shields alone unless absolutely necessary to meet the educational needs of students.
By next Friday our site-specific reopening schools teams will have completed their health and safety protocol planning for limited in-person instruction. While we are finishing up these plans, we are also starting to analyze our student data to see which students might need limited in-person instruction. You can still take the survey that will inform these plans. Responses are due by the end of today (reference the Sept. 21 Monday Memo for more information on limited in-person instruction).
