MOLALLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Steel support structure and 16 CLT (cross laminated timber) panels have been placed at the new Molalla Police Department. City representatives, police department staff, the owner's representative, Mackenzie Architecture, and P&C Construction were present to witness the delivery and installation.

The weather was cooportative and all safety protocols were in place for this impressive crane operation.

CODE COMPLIANCE

Did you know somethings should not be flushed?

Please help us keep the load down during the high flow (rainy) season of your Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Please do not flush:

Wipes(even wipes that say flushable), cloth napkins, paper towels

Sanitary Hygiene or other health products

Diapers or other trash

Your old Pikachu toy or any other like it

Budget Committee
The Molalla Budget Committee consists of the City Council plus an equal number of citizen members approved and appointed by the City Council. State law, ORS 294.336, mandates a budget committee for all Oregon local governments.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MARCH 14, 2025.

Library Board
The Molalla Public Library Board consists of up to five (5) members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. All members must reside within the service area of Molalla Public Library as defined by the Intergovernmental Agreement forming the Library District in 2008. The City Council representative will be a liaison of the city Council to the Library Board.
The Library Board advises the City Council on library policy matters and performs such other duties as are assigned to it by the City Council. (Molalla Municipal Code 2.08)

Planning Commission
Interested in being a part of the Planning Commission? To qualify, applicants must be U.S. citizens and submit a completed Application for Appointment to a Citizen Committee. Forms are also available at City Hall. Each applicant shall include a brief statement of why you wish to serve on the Planning Commission. Applicants may include a resume with their applications. Appointments to the Planning Commission will be made by the Mayor.

CITY COUNCIL

Mayor Scott Keyser took a pie to the face for Share the Love on Friday, February 21st, at the Molalla High School Auditorium. An enthusiastic crowd of students and supporters watched while the Mayor got pied two times, once by a student, and secondly Debbie Kersey, the owner of My She Shed Boutinque. Debbie outbid other business owners with a donation to Share The Love.

March 5th, 2025 will be a PUBLIC HEARING; A Site Design Review for a new 5,888 Office and Warehouse Building For Pool and Spa Covers Business Planning Commission.
We invite you to make your comments in writing to City Email, mail it in to the Civic Center at 315 Kennel Ave, Molalla OR, 97038, or in person at the Public Hearing at 6:30pm on Tuesday, January 7th.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water Treatment Plant had one of the actuating valves rebuilt in the Intake pumping building. The other valves in that pumping building are scheduled to be rebuilt as well.

The Wastewater Plant has broken ground!!

Starting to dig out for the Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) location on the new Construction site. A damaged valve was replaced on one of the tertiary media filters.
