 At its September 3 meeting, the Medford City Council approved $611,750 in funding to support a range of local programs aimed at strengthening community well-being, enhancing public spaces, and expanding educational and cultural opportunities.

The Medford Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department has been awarded a $780,593 grant from the State of Oregon’s Local Government Grant Program to support renovation of Jackson Park in west Medford.
Construction on the new Fire Station 15 is making steady progress. Since the April groundbreaking, Outlier Construction and Medford Fire crews have worked together to keep the project on track.
 Eight local organizations will receive a share of $615,563 after the Medford City Council approved acceptance of Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at its Sept. 17 meeting.
Medford City Council will soon review potential code changes related to car wash development. To date, about 20 car wash sites have either been built or approved within city limits.
