The project began with a groundbreaking ceremony in April 2022 and ends with a ribbon cutting ceremony in November 2023.
The 3160 Center Street building is complete and open for business! We will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 9 for the Commissioners, partners and staff.
Guided tours will be offered after the ceremony (staff interruptions should be minimal), along with light refreshments. Hopefully you remembered to RSVP by October 31st!

Congratulations to the Workforce Development Committee for coordinating and organizing our recent Workforce Development (WFD) Days! Staff enjoyed two-days of instructor-led courses. With topics like Time Management, Business Writing, Leadership Styles, and Public Health Ethics, there was something for everyone.
Sessions took place in the 3160 & 3180 buildings, and Fresh Start Market's Community Room. Classes were taught by some of our Human Resources and HHS instructors, and several sessions were led by professionals from within the community.
Our most popular courses were Intro to DBT Micro-Interventions, Stress Management, Public Health Ethics, and Culturally Responsive and Trauma Informed Public Health.
The Workforce Development Committee is already discussing ideas for next year!

LINKS (Learn, Involve Yourself, Nurture Yourself and Others, Know Your Resources, and Sustain Your Wellness) is a five-month campaign that will provide mental health tips, information and helpful hints. This month's theme is Nurture Yourself.
The holidays are upon us! While this should be a time of joy, family and celebrations, the holidays are often filled with stress. Remember to take time for yourself. If you are looking for a quick and easy way to decrease stress, try using your senses.
- Sight - Look for things that bring positive emotions.
- Hearing - Focus on things that YOU like to listen to.
- Smell - Lavendar oil promotes relaxation; add a few drops to a diffuser.
- Taste - Food can elevate your mood. Try bananas for their calming effect.
- Touch - Petting your dog or cat can decrease the stress hormone cortisol.

CUTE PUPPY ALERT! Get ready to meet Gunnar - the pride and joy of Addiction Recovery Mentor, Jared Oeltjen.
After 10 years of his wife pleading for a puppy, Jared finally caved and brought home this adorable French Bulldog. Gunnar is still a puppy whose hobbies include eating, sleeping, pooping, photo shoots, and of course, being spoiled.
Jared tells us that Gunnar dislikes being alone for longer than 30 seconds, not taking him for enough walks during the day, and finally, making him bark for attention. Gunnar has three little best friends - Annalisa, Joseph & Kyler who love and cherish their four-legged sibling.
