On Wednesday, COVID-19 Deputy Incident Commander Alisa Zastoupil delivered the weekly COVID-19 update to the Board of Commissioners. Click below to listen in:
Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies will now be supplied with face masks to distribute to anyone in the community who needs one. We appreciate their help as we work to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.
As Marion County's COVID-19 response continues to grow, so does our incident management team. Each week, we'll highlight one group within the team to showcase the work they are doing to support our response. This week, we invite you to learn more about the Liaison Team.
The Liaison Team is responsible for facilitating local and statewide resources into the incident command system. They serve as the point of contact for cooperative agencies and representatives throughout the county that are assisting with the response.
One of the main jobs the Liaison Team has is working with our community partners in Marion County. The team holds weekly calls with our partners, giving updates and answering questions from the community. It is the job of the team to work with our most vulnerable populations ensuring they have the most up-to-date material and information available. The Liaison Team also works with these partners to provided needed supplies, such as face mask, gloves, or hand sanitizer.
The Marion County COVID-19 Liaison Team also coordinates with partner agencies to hold testing events throughout the county to ensure our vulnerable populations and businesses stay safe and healthy. The team will also be reviewing all school reopening plans and fielding questions from school districts as we plan for education in the fall.
Thank you Liaison Team for all the hard work you do!
