Neighbors,

The Akawa Butte Fire has grown to more than 26,000 acres and is currently the nation's highest-priority wildfire. More than 1,000 people in our community are under evacuation orders or warnings, and with hotter, drier conditions expected over the next several days, evacuation levels may change quickly.

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office urges everyone to stay informed and be prepared. Make sure you're signed up to receive emergency alerts so you can get the latest evacuation information and other critical updates. You can sign up here.
