2026 June Legislative (Leg) Days/ Dias Legislativos de Junio 2026
Summer Affordable Activities & To Do / Actividades de Verano Baratas y Que Hacer
June leg days just happened a week ago when writing this, so this office was busy bees. Overall Leg days is focused on the representatives meeting with different lobbyist hearing them out and seeing what new legislation would be good to start getting ahead of before the next session which is in 2027 after elections and everyone getting sworn back in. This allows not only for the constituents to meet with their rep and allows them to see if they have any troubles too. Los días Legislativos de junio que paso hace una semana cuando escribo esto, así que esta oficina estuvo muy ocupada. En general, el punto de los Días Legislativos son para que los representantes se reúnan con diferentes cabilderos, los escuchen y vean qué nueva legislación sería buena para empezar en adelantarse antes de la próxima sesión, que es en 2027 después de las elecciones y de que todos vuelvan a jurar el cargo. Esto no solo permite que los constituyentes se reúnan con su representante, sino que también les permite ver si tienen algún problema. Si tienes algún problema o preocupación, no dudes en contactar a mi oficina para ver cómo podemos ayudarte. Los siguientes dias Legislativos son en Septiembre y solo pro 3 dias so aparta tu dia y hora con manandome un correo electronico!

This very hot summer it is hard to find things to do with the kiddos, friends & family members while staying in budget and everyone deserve a day or at least an hour to get out of the weekly routine so here are a few ideas in the district that you can do with your loved ones that are cheap or are free around the district!
- Local Library
- Park Events
- Volunteering
- Attractions & Events
Your local library not only has books but also has activities and things you can rent out for free such as the Salem library with projectors and movies for a summer night movie or even in the Woodburn library ask for a cultural pass that can get you cheap passes to your favorite spaces like Oregon Gardens, Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and more.
Park events are always happening with Woodburn's Centennial Park 4th of July Firework display is free, and Salem constantly host concerts in the park and other events in the waterfront park such as last week's LUS Mercadito or weekend morning events with ENLACE Cross cultural in Northgate Park.
You can always volunteer at different community gardens and teach your young ones on how food grows but also check out food banks and your local campaigns that either need help packaging food or knocking doors.
Some big attractions happening are Woodburn's annual Fiesta Mexicana in August that brings many people on Friday all the way to Sunday with at specific times in the day being free entry and local Marion County Fair alongside the State Fair sometimes have free performances happening as well.

Este verano tan caluroso es difícil encontrar cosas que hacer con los peques, amigos y familiares, manteniendo tu presupuesto bajo, y todos merecen un día o al menos una hora para salir de la rutina semanal. ¡Así que aquí hay algunas ideas en el distrito que puedes hacer con tus seres queridos que son baratas o gratis!

- Voluntariado
- Atracciones y Eventos.
Tu biblioteca local no solo tiene libros, sino que también tiene actividades y cosas que puedes sacar gratis, como la biblioteca de Salem con proyectores y películas para una noche de cine de verano, o incluso en la biblioteca de Woodburn puedes pedir un pase cultural que te permite obtener entradas baratas a tus lugares favoritos, como Oregon Gardens, el Museo de Aviación y Espacio Evergreen y más.
Siempre hay eventos en los parques, como el espectáculo de fuegos artificiales del 4 de julio en el Centennial Park de Woodburn, que es gratuito, y Salem que constantemente organiza conciertos en el parque y otros eventos en el parque frente al río, como el LUS Mercadito de la semana pasada o los eventos matutinos de fin de semana con ENLACE Cross Cultural en Northgate Park.
Siempre puedes ofrecerte como voluntario en diferentes jardines comunitarios y enseñar a tus niños cómo crece la comida, pero también puedes visitar bancos de alimentos y las campañas locales que necesiten ayuda para empacar alimentos o tocar puertas.
Algunas de las grandes atracciones que se llevan a cabo son la Fiesta Mexicana anual de Woodburn en agosto, que atrae a muchas personas desde el viernes hasta el domingo, con ciertas horas del día con entrada gratuita, y la Feria del Condado de Marion junto con la Feria Estatal, que a veces también tienen presentaciones gratuitas.
