Hello friends,
As we reflect on the faith, life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we remember his love of God, of freedom and of country. His drive to lawfully and peacefully bring change to our constitutional republic should be a reminder to our leaders and citizens today, as it was over 60 years ago.
Public safety is a foundational responsibility of our nation, as are the freedoms of speech and to peacefully assemble, a tenet of Dr. King’s legacy. Rioting, violence and other unlawful activities should be condemned by all, especially our elected leaders. Those that choose to commit crimes against people and property, should be held accountable for their actions under the law.
